Simon with Ivan makes it clear to Lesley that he disapproves
of her decision to have some fun with Bobby-John. When the couple later
arrive at Mulberry Cottage quite tipsy after spending the day together,
Simon is horrified to discover that Bobby-John is spending the night!
Meanwhile, Rodney wants to wheel out his family at his pre-election bash
to schmooze some council bigwigs. Rodney feels that Paul is important for
his campaign, certain that the gay mayor will be impressed by his son.

Ivan but it quickly spirals into an argument and Ivan storms out.

Laurel lets it slip to Ivan that Nicola has admitted she lied about
them having an affair, but Nicola is unrepentant. Later, Laurel
challenges her friend again and insists she tells the truth. They
have a row, culminating with Laurel throwing Nicola out of Mill
Brook. It appears Nicola really has no friends left to turn to.
In the Woolpack Rodney announces that he feels that the family can
sort it all out. However, Laurel interjects spurring Nicola on to
tell the truth, but she can’t go through with it. Laurel is convinced
her friend was finally going to make things right. She takes charge
of the situation and reveals that all Nicola has claimed about Ivan
is a lie. Faced with the disgust of the locals, Nicola systematically
launches into a character assassination of everyone there.
Having crossed the line and offended everyone in sight, will
Nicola finally accept defeat and leave the village behind?

Nicola tries to apologise to Paul, but incensed at his anger she tells him Ivan
and her were having a full blown affair. When Rodney continues to defend
Nicola, Paul is further saddened.
. When Kelly tells Rodney that Nicola is now saying she and Ivan had
an affair – Rodney is confused as to why Nicola would lie and
confronts her. Nicola panics but continues to tell her lies.
Shocked, Rodney realises she knew what she was doing and how
much she has hurt Paul. Rodney realises he has been a fool to
pander to Nicola and tries to find Paul. But is it too late?
Meanwhile, Paul tells Diane and Val he is thinking of leaving
the village. When Rodney enters the pub he receives a frosty
reception until he reveals he is there to make up with his son.
Rodney apologises for lavishing attention on Nicola and asks his
son to return home. However when Nicola bursts in, Paul reveals
he can not live under the same roof as her and asks his father to
make a decision once and for all. Will Rodney choose his son over
manipulative Nicola?

Rodney informs Paul of Ivan’s infidelity, and when a livid Paul
confronts Ivan, he is quick to deny the accusations. Annoyed that
Paul won’t believe him, Ivan seeks out Nicola. In the Woolpack,
Ivan confronts Nicola in front of everyone, insisting she tell
the truth. Feigning hurt, Nicola lambastes Ivan for denying that
they’ve been together. An angry Rodney intervenes and sends off
Ivan as he comforts Nicola. Laurel aware of Nicola’s crush on Ivan
asks her what is going on. Nicola once again lies and tells her she to Paul’s annoyance. Will he continue his support of Nicola or will
he realise Paul needs it as well? And when Ivan reminds Laurel of
Ethan’s behaviour will she continue to believe her friend’s lies?

Later, Lesley, convinced Nicola and Ivan are having an affair,
demands an explanation from Nicola. Still hurting from their
earlier conversation, Nicola doesn’t deny the accusation.
Disgusted Lesley threatens to tell Paul (Mathew Bose) unless
she hands over Mulberry Cottage to Simon. However, refusing to
be blackmailed, Nicola tells her to go ahead and tell anyone
she wants. Lesley heads straight to Rodney and when he confronts
his daughter, Nicola expertly plays the victim, allowing Rodney
to believe Ivan took advantage of her. Will Rodney tell Paul about
Ivan and Nicola?

however, when Ivan receives a call from an upset Nicola he heads
off to her assistance. Nicola, loving playing the victim, sees

for a shower, Nicola calls him back down. Worried by her urgency,
Ivan rushes to her dressed only in a towel. He is shocked to find
Nicola dressed in saucy underwear but will he give her what she wants?
